Optimizing Immunoprecipitation of FP-Tagged Proteins in Plant Cell Extracts
Immunoprecipitation (IP) is a powerful technique for isolating and analyzing proteins and their interaction partners (co-IP) from complex biological samples. In plant systems, however, the limited availability of antibodies against endogenous plant proteins often leads researchers to use tagged proteins, with fluorescent proteins (FPs) being the most widely used tags due to their versatility and ease of detection. In this webinar, Dr. Mayank Sharma, Scientist at ETH Zurich, will present an optimized protocol for IP of FP-tagged proteins of interest from crude plant cell extracts, as detailed in the Methods in Molecular Biology chapter (PMID: 36107351).
