Background Information
TRIM37 (tripartite motif containing 37) is a member of the tripartite motif (RING, B-Box, and coiled-coil domains) family . Its gene mutations result in mulibrey nanism, which is a rare, autosomal-recessive growth disorder of prenatal onset, with characteristic dysmorphic features, pericardial constriction, and hepatomegaly .TRIM37 is located on chromosome 17q23, encoding a protein with an estimated molecular weight of 130 kDa or 89kDa.
