Product Information

83235-1-PBS targets MKNK2 as part of a matched antibody pair:

MP00216-2: 83235-4-PBS capture and 83235-1-PBS detection (validated in Cytometric bead array)

Unconjugated rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody in PBS only (BSA and azide free) storage buffer at a concentration of 1 mg/mL, ready for conjugation. Created using Proteintech’s proprietary in-house recombinant technology. Recombinant production enables unrivalled batch-to-batch consistency, easy scale-up, and future security of supply.

This conjugation ready format makes antibodies ideal for use in many applications including: ELISAs, multiplex assays requiring matched pairs, mass cytometry, and multiplex imaging applications.Antibody use should be optimized by the end user for each application and assay.

Background Information

MKNK2(MAP kinase-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 2) is also named as GPRK7, MNK2 and belongs to the CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It has a conserved C-terminal Erk-interacting domain, a catalytic domain with homology to the calcium/calmodulin-dependent family of kinases, and putative MAP kinase phosphorylation sites located within the T loop of the kinase domain(PMID:9155017). The breast cancer cells express either an uncharacterized form of MNK2 or a cross-reacting MNK2-like protein with the band of 72-75 kDa by western blot(PMID:17130135). MKNK2 has 2 isoforms with the molecular mass of 52 kDa and 47 kDa.
