  WB analysis of HepG2 using 12182-1-AP (same clone as 12182-1-PBS)

  HepG2 cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 12182-1-AP (MED8 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 12182-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human brain tissue slide using 12182-1-AP (MED8 antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 40x lens. Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 12182-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

MED8, a component of the Mediator complex, is a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. It plays a role as a target recruitment subunit in E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complexes and thus in ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. MED8 has three isoforms with MW 19 kDa, 29 kDa and 33 kDa. And the ubiquitination form will be 38-43 kDa.
