  WB analysis using 84797-4-RR (same clone as 84797-4-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 84797-4-RR (MCT4 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84797-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  IF Staining of mouse skeletal muscle using 84797-4-RR (same clone as 84797-4-PBS)

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed paraffin-embedded mouse skeletal muscle tissue using MCT4 antibody (84797-4-RR, Clone: 242296E3 ) at dilution of 1:400 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) (SA00013-2). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 84797-4-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 84797-4-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 84797-4-RR against Human MCT4 were performed. The affinity constant is 3.02 nM.

Background Information

The monocarboxylate transporter 4 (MCT4, also known as SLC16A3) is involved in the transportation of metabolically important monocarboxylates such as lactate, pyruvate, acetate and ketone bodies. It is widely expressed, particularly strongly in glycolytic tissues such as white skeletal muscle fibres, astrocytes, white blood cells, chondrocytes and some mammalian cell lines. MCT4 is also linked to tumor biology because it mediates lactate transport across membranes resulting in antiapoptotic effects.
