  WB analysis using 83710-1-RR (same clone as 83710-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 83710-1-RR (FHIT antibody) at dilution of 1:800 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 83710-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  Affinity and Kinetic Characterization of 83710-1-RR

  Biolayer interferometry (BLl) kinetic assays of 83710-1-RR against Human FHIT were performed. The affinity constant is 5.01 nM.

Background Information

The candidate tumor suppressor gene, FHIT(Fragile histidine triad protein), encompasses the common human chromosomal fragile site at 3p14.2, the hereditary renal cancer translocation breakpoint, and cancer cell homozygous deletions. Fhit hydrolyzes dinucleotide 5',5'''-P1,P3-triphosphate in vitro and mutation of a central histidine abolishes hydrolase activity(PMID:9391102). FHIT has a major role in regulating beta-catenin-mediated gene transcription.
