  WB analysis using 67793-1-Ig (same clone as 67793-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 67793-1-Ig (Desmin antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated GAPDH Monoclonal antibody (HRP-60004) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 67793-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Desmin is the main intermediate filament protein in skeletal and cardiac muscle cells and is essential for both the structural integrity and the survival of muscle cells. As an abundant muscle-specific protein, desmin has been widely used as a marker of muscle derived tumors. Anti-desmin is also valuable in the differential diagnosis of tumors of uncertain origin.
