Background Information
Zinc finger protein 641(ZNF 641) encodes a zinc-finger protein with five different C2H2 type zinc fingers and a KRAB-A box. Northern blot analysis indicates that ZNF641 is expressed in most of the examined adult tissues, at a high level in skeletal muscle. The ZNF 641 protein contains 438 amino acids and has 4 isoforms (50,43,47,48 kDa) produced by alternative splicing.
