Background Information

TCERG1L, Transcription elongation regulator 1-like protein, is associated with plasma adiponectin, and plasma adiponectin is a key modulator of obesity, inflammation, IR and diabetes (PMID:22791750). Gene silencing of FBN2 and TCERG1L is associated with promoter DNA hypermethylation in CRC tumors and may be biomarkers for the early detection of CRC (PMID:22238052). Stra8 and TCERG1L play a role in retinoic acid induced spermatogonial differentiation in mouse (PMID:3395975).
