  BxPC-3 cells lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 18124-1-AP (Synaptotagmin-5 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

  Immunofluorescent analysis of (4% PFA) fixed paraffin-embedded mouse brain tissue using SYT5 antibody (18124-1-AP) at dilution of 1:200 and CoraLite®488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0).

Background Information

The synaptotagmins are integral membrane proteins of synaptic vesicles thought to serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis (PMID: 8058779). Synaptotagmin-5 (SYT5) belongs to the synaptotagmin family. Synaptotagmin-5 can function as an exocytosis regulator (PMID: 27793683) and is a protein potentially associated with the pathology of schizophrenia (PMID: 32860155).
