  WB analysis using 67979-1-Ig (same clone as 67979-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 67979-1-Ig (SMARCB1 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. The membrane was stripped and reblotted with HRP-conjugated GAPDH Monoclonal antibody (HRP-60004) as loading control. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 67979-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

SMARCB1 is part of a complex that relieves repressive chromatin structures, allowing the transcriptional machinery to access its targets more effectively. The encoded nuclear protein may also bind to and enhance the DNA joining activity of HIV-1 integrase. This gene has been found to be a tumor suppressor and mutations in it have been associated with malignant rhabdoid tumors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
