Background Information
Ribosomal RNA Processing 1 Homolog B (RRP1B) is a protein that has been implicated in several biological processes, particularly in the context of cancer progression and viral replication. RRP1B was first identified as a metastasis susceptibility gene in breast cancer through its ability to modulate gene expression in a manner that can be used to accurately predict prognosis in breast cancer . It has been shown to interact with the metastasis modifier gene, Sipa1, and modulate elements of metastasis predictive gene expression signatures.
