Background Information

PHYHIPL, a kind of mitochondrial protein, is associated with energy production, oxidative stress and organelle dynamics. It is reported that global ischemia is related to the change of PHYHIPL protein level. Compared with the control group, the level of APOE (may be involved in abnormal regulation of mitochondrial function) is significantly increased after ischemic stimulation, while the APOE genotype has a effect on PHYHIPL protein level. 16937-1-AP detects 39 kDa isoform and 42-45 kDa isoform in SDS-PAGE.
