Background Information

Ikaros DNA-binding proteins, characterized by two highly conserved zinc finger domains that mediate DNA (N-terminal domain) and protein binding (C-terminal domain), consists of 5 members and one of them is IKZF2 [PMID:1439790]. IKZF2's expression is associated with T cell activation and cellular division and is suggested a suitable marker to distinguish natural and induced Treg (PMID:21918685).
