Background Information
DZIP1, also named as DZIP, DZIP2 and KIAA0996, belongs to the DZIP C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. DZIP1 has been reported to be associated with centrosomes and ciliogenesis in cells. DZIP1 may participate in spermatogenesis via its interaction with DAZ1, and play a role in primary formation. It may be a potential therapeutic target of oral squamous carcinoma.
