Background Information
Histone deacetylases(HDAC) are a class of enzymes that remove the acetyl groups from the lysine residues leading to the formation of a condensed and transcriptionally silenced chromatin. At least 4 classes of HDAC were identified. HDAC11 belongs to Class IV HDACs. HDAC11 is localized to the nucleus and may be involved in regulating the expression of interleukin 10. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. This antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against full length HDAC11 of human origin.
