  WB analysis using 68514-1-Ig (same clone as 68514-1-PBS)

  Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 68514-1-Ig (CDK5 antibody) at dilution of 1:10000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours. This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68514-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

  IHC staining of mouse brain using 68514-1-Ig (same clone as 68514-1-PBS)

  Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse brain tissue slide using 68514-1-Ig (CDK5 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 (under 10x lens). Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 68514-1-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Background Information

Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (CDK5), belongs to the cyclin-dependent kinase family, is a proline-directed serine/threonine-protein kinase that essential for neuronal cell cycle arrest and differentiation and may be involved in apoptotic cell death in neuronal diseases by triggering abortive cell cycle re-entry. CDK5 predominantly expressed in neurons where it phosphorylates both high molecular weight neurofilaments and microtubule-associated protein tau.
