Recent advances have enabled the expansion of CITE-seq, Cellular Indexing of Transcriptomes and Epitopes-seq, into the intracellular domain. Intracellular CITE-seq, in addition to transcriptome profiling, enables the detection of cell surface proteins, cytokines, signaling proteins, transcription factors, and phosphoproteins. These enhanced capabilities provide a wholistic multiomic view of individual cells.
