Position Summary:
Proteintech is looking for a talented and passionate Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in consistently developing and scouting new partnerships in the US. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Actively find new leads, maintaining a strong focus on identifying, initiating, and nurturing potential clients.
- Client Meetings: Conduct virtual and in-person customer meetings to understand their needs and communicate our unique value proposition.
- Pipeline Management: Own the process from lead through to completion, ensuring an exceptional client experience by working collaboratively with internal resources.
- Maintain Relationships: Engage regularly with prospects virtually and in-person to build relationships and close deals.
- Conference Attendance: Represent our services at relevant industry events, fostering relationships and driving brand visibility.
- Contract Management: Organize and review applicable agreements pertaining to partnership.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
- Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Years of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or making employment selection decisions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Scientific, sales and/or marketing background with concentration in academic and biotech industries.
- Proven track record of developing mid- and high- level business contacts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to manage and collaborate with customer and internal teams (Operations, Finance, R&D and Marketing).
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, managing the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations.
- This is an on-site role with occasional drives to site locations and occasional travel both domestic and international.
