Background Information
B4GALNT3 (β1,4-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase III) has in vitro activity to promote the synthesis of LacdiNAc, an important structure found on glycoproteins expressed by neurons. B4GALNT3 was highly expressed in either differentiated NB or mature ganglion cells (PMID: 21741930). B4GALNT3 is predominantly expressed in the stomach, colon, and testis (PMID: 32267274).
