RGAR002 targets Rabbit IgG (H+L) in FC and IF. It is higly specific to rabbit IgG and shows minimal reactivity for mouse, rat, human, pig and bovine IgGs.

Background

Multi-rAb Recombinant Secondary Antibodies are mixtures of precisely engineered recombinant monoclonal antibodies that recognize multiple complementary epitopes on the same IgG. Each recombinant clone in the final multiclonal mixture is carefully selected after rigorous characterization and screening to ensure the highest level of performance. ​The selected clones are mixed in various combinations, each of which is then functionally characterized in multiple applications to select the final multiclonal mixture with optimal performance. Each lot of Multi-rAb Secondary Antibodies is produced by mixing the same high performing recombinant clones every time to ensure that they have high batch-to-batch consistency, which in turn results in high reproducibility of experimental data.

The secondary antibody (RGAR002) was used at a concentration of 1:500 against Rabbit anti-Spc72 in yeast cells fixed for 30min using PFA for Immunofluorescence. In parallel, I also used our routinely used Invitrogen Donkey anti-Rabbit Alexa488 Catalog # A32790 at 1:500. The signal for the Proteintech antibody sample was significantly weaker than the Invitrogen, however, I think it might have to do with the better specificity of the Proteintech antibody because the signal is less dispersed and confined to a point as it should be. I have attached some images: Sample1- Invitrogen secondary used, Sample 2-Proteintech secondary used Goat Anti-Rabbit 488; yeast cells imaged with a Nikon microscope at 60x. Image should be accessible using ImageJ/Fiji.
