Background Information

GINS3 (GINS Complex Subunit 3), also known as PSF3, serves as a subunit of the GINS heterotetrameric complex (GINS1/2/3/4). GINS3 is essential for the initiation of DNA replication and progression of replication forks. GINS3 is significantly upregulated in liver hepatocellular carcinoma, where it correlates with poor prognosis, methylation alterations, and immune escape, and has been proposed as a potential diagnostic biomarker.
