Product Information
The PL00002 Broad Range Protein Marker is a ready-to-use three-color protein standard with 13 prestained proteins covering a wide range of molecular weights from 3 to 245 kDa in Tris-Glycine buffer. The PL00002 Broad Range Prestained Protein Marker is designed for monitoring protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western transfer efficiency on membranes (nitrocellulose, PVDF, or nylon) and for estimating the size of proteins. The PL00002 Broad Range Protein Marker is also suitable for fluorescence WB detection.
Approximately 0.1~0.4 mg/ml of each protein in the buffer (20 mM Tris-phosphate (pH 7.5 at 25°C), 2 % SDS, 0.2 mM Dithiothreitol, 3.6 M Urea, and 15 % (v/v) Glycerol).
Storage
Store product at 4℃ for up to 12 weeks. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20℃ for up to 1 year.
Usage
The protein ladder comes ready to use in gel loading buffer. After thawing and mixing, load approximately 3-5 μL of protein marker per lane. Do NOT heat, dilute, or add reducing agents before loading.

Reviews
The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
FH Shyam (Verified Customer) (03-25-2024) | Product works well.
FH Nikhil (Verified Customer) (03-04-2024) | I liked the product but would like to have two colors ie res and green.
FH Christine (Verified Customer) (09-19-2023) | Very good protein and economical marker, same as PL00001 but with a few extra bands. 1 ul loaded on a SDS PAGE gel and transferred to nitrocellulose are enough for a clear detection of all the sizes. Of note: the pink marker (75 kDa) is not detected in the LICOR IR680 or IR800 channels but all others are OK.
FH Andrea (Verified Customer) (12-03-2022) | A good, strong signal is provided by loading a few microliters of the product.
FH Dan (Verified Customer) (09-30-2022) | Low price but you get a very good quality of protein ladder!
FH Mary (Verified Customer) (09-19-2022) | Worked okay. It's a decent protein marker.
FH Cloure (Verified Customer) (08-25-2022) | Worked pretty decently
FH Mickael (Verified Customer) (08-15-2022) | Worked like a charm!
FH Maryna (Verified Customer) (08-13-2022) | Was very happy with the results, will ask my PI for to change
FH Francisco (Verified Customer) (08-13-2022) | Performed very well in a pilot gel!
FH Miguel (Verified Customer) (08-09-2022) | Very nice, will be switching when starting new project
FH Miguel (Verified Customer) (08-05-2022) | It worked great.
FH Duncan (Verified Customer) (10-20-2021) | Perfect for all my Western blotting
FH Adrian (Verified Customer) (09-02-2021) | Protein ladder we obtained from colleagues from Biochemistry worked great and exhibited clear, distinguishable bands. Good overall quality for research on food allergenicity. Would highly recommend.
FH Maria (Verified Customer) (08-23-2021) | Cell lysate 10ug labelled with No-stain (590 nm emission). 4-15% TGX gel. PL00002 5 uL on the left. Very good marker.
FH Phoebe (Verified Customer) (03-10-2020) | This ladder worked brilliantly on my western. I have a large protein so need a broader-range ladder, for which I have previously been using PageRuler Plus. The new Proteintech ladder has been a very good replacement.
