Ben Rein, PhD

Dr. Ben Rein is an award-winning neuroscientist, author, and science communicator. He serves as the Chief Science Officer of the Mind Science Foundation, an Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Buffalo. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers on the neuroscience of social behavior, and is the author of Why Brains Need Friends. Rein also shares educational neuroscience videos on social media to an audience of more than 1.2 million followers, and has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America and 75+ podcasts including StarTalk with Neil DeGrasse Tyson. His science communication efforts have been recognized with awards from the National Academies of Science, the Society for Neuroscience, and elsewhere.

Claudia Belliveau, PhD

Dr. Claudia Belliveau earned her PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University in 2024. She now shares her journey navigating the transition from academia to industry on her platform where she engages over 110,000 followers by making the challenges of career transitions and life after research relatable and approachable. Committed to empowering women in STEM, she uses her work to inspire the next generation of scientists, build community, and offer honest, behind-the-scenes insights into life beyond academia. 

Marie-Joe Kimaz, M.S.

Marie-Joe Kimaz is an associate scientist and entrepreneur passionate about advancing immunology and regenerative medicine. Her research background is complemented by her ability to design and execute experiments from scratch, analyze complex data, and drive forward early-stage therapeutic discovery. Marie is deeply committed to being an advocate for women in STEM and to breaking down barriers that make science feel distant or inaccessible. By combining her scientific expertise with her passion for communication, she strives to inspire others, amplify underrepresented voices, and build a future where innovation in science is inclusive, collaborative, and within reach for everyone.

Alessia Golluscio, PhD

Dr. Alessia Golluscio is a Postdoc at Linköping University working on cardiac electrophysiology. Alessia is passionate about science, communication and teaching. When she is not in the lab running experiments, she is making videos for her instagram account, or enjoying a cup (or two) of coffee!

Paige White, PhD

Dr. Paige White is a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Birmingham interested in both gene regulation in cancer and how we can make research more accessible to the public.
