Scientist Stories: Fabienne Bejjani, PhD on Improving Research Efficiency with Proteintech Antibodies

Here, Fabienne Bejjani PhD, a molecular biologist, shares how switching to Proteintech antibodies helped her improve experimental reliability, enhance sensitivity, and streamline her workflow.

In my research, I work extensively in molecular biology and biochemistry, focusing on understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate gene expression and protein-protein interactions. My work depends heavily on the use of high-quality antibodies, and over the years I’ve used many Proteintech products across different experiments. They’ve consistently been reliable, affordable, and sensitive, which is why they’ve become my go-to choice for my experiments.

There was one particular antibody - SUPT6H -  a critical one for my project, that had always been problematic. For a long time, I was buying it from another company. While the antibody was functional, it was very expensive and took two to three weeks to arrive, which often disrupted my experimental timelines. In research, such delays can really hold things up.

After experiencing these issues repeatedly, I discussed my situation with Sawssan Safieddine, our Proteintech account manager. She was very proactive and attentive, taking the time to understand the challenges I was facing. Sawssan suggested that I try the Proteintech version of the antibody and was kind enough to offer me a free sample to test. Her practical advice and support encouraged me to give Proteintech a try.

The difference was immediately noticeable. The Proteintech SUPT6H antibody (23073-1-AP)  proved to be far more sensitive than the one I had been using previously. It worked beautifully in both Western blotting and immunoprecipitation experiments. In fact, the signal strength and clarity were much better, and the results were highly reproducible. The antibody also required less optimization, saving me valuable time and reagents.

Another major advantage was the fast delivery. I now typically receive Proteintech products within two to three working days, which allows me to plan my experiments efficiently and stay on track with my research. Combined with the excellent quality and reasonable pricing, it’s a huge improvement over my previous experience.

Using Proteintech products has had a positive impact on my overall workflow. My data quality has improved, my timelines are shorter, and I have complete confidence in the reagents I’m using.

If I were to recommend Proteintech to another researcher, I’d say this: their antibodies are consistently high-quality, and their customer service, especially through account managers like Sawssan, makes the experience even better.

In research, time and reliability are everything. Proteintech products have consistently delivered both, which is why they’ve become an integral part of my work, and I’m very glad I made the switch.
