HOXD11, also named as HOX4F, belongs to the Abd-B homeobox family. HOXD11 is a sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. HOXD11 plays a role in forelimb morphogenesis.
