Informations générales
Cytochrome c oxidase (COX) is the terminal enzyme in the electron transfer chain located in the mitochondrial inner membrane. It catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. COX10 is predicted to contain 7-9 transmembrane domains, and it is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, and the nuclear-encoded subunits may function in the regulation and assembly of the complex. This nuclear gene encodes heme A:farnesyltransferase, which is required for the expression of functional COX and functions in the maturation of the heme A prosthetic group of COX. In addition, COX10 may play a certain role in the development and progression of azoospermia.

The reviews below have been submitted by verified Proteintech customers who received an incentive for providing their feedback.
| FH Kateryna (Verified Customer) (01-16-2025) | The antibody worked very well in Western blot (SDS-PAGE, nitrocellulose membrane, 5% non-fat dry milk blocking). The antibody was validated on knockout mice lacking COX10 in brain astrocytes (Aldh1l1-Cre/ERT2::Cox10fl/+).
