• 

  FC experiment of C57BL/6 Th2-polarized splenocytes using 98360-2-RR (same clone as 98360-2-PBS)

  1x10^6 unstimulated or PMA, Ionomycin and Brefeldin A treated C57BL/6 Th2-polarized splenocytes were intracellularly stained with 0.125 ug Anti-Mouse IL-4 Rabbit RecAb (98360-2-RR, Clone: 242736G8) and PE-Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were co-stained with APC Anti-Mouse CD4 (GK1.5) (APC-65104, Clone: GK1.5). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C). This data was developed using the same antibody clone with 98360-2-PBS in a different storage buffer formulation.

Hintergrundinformationen

Interleukin-4 (IL-4), a member of the α-helical cytokine family, is produced by activated CD4+ T cells, basophils, and mast cells. It promotes the proliferation and differentiation of antigen-presenting cells. IL-4 also plays a pivotal role in antibody isotype switching and stimulates the production of IgE. This cytokine has been applied in the treatment of autoimmune disorders like multiple myeloma, cancer, psoriasis, and arthritis. IL-4 has also been extensively applied to inhibit detrimental effect of Th1. It may promote the growth of epithelial tumors by mediating increased proliferation and survival.
