Background Information
BUD13 homolog (BUD13) is a component of the retention and splicing (RES) complex, previously identified in yeast as a splicing factor affecting nuclear pre-mRNA retention. As an RNA binding protein (RBP), BUD13 expression is associated with poor prognosis and may be involved in the development and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 37605593).
