Hintergrundinformationen
Smoothened (SMO) is a G protein-coupled receptor that is a component of the hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway and is conserved from flies to humans. The Hh pathway plays central roles in animal development and stem-cell function. Defects in Hh signalling lead to birth defects and cancer in humans. Expressed on the primary cilium, SMO interacts with the patched protein, a receptor for Hh proteins.

FH Aidan (Verified Customer) (08-31-2021) | Smo Monoclonal antibody responded to S. purpuratus Smo protein in both IF and WB experiments. For IF, methanol fixed embryos treated with 1:100 dilution of the antibody in PBS overnight, followed by incubation in a 1:300 dilution of secondary antibody Alexa Goat anti-mouse 488 diluted 1:300 in PBS. Localization appears peri-nuclear at the 16 cell stage.
