Tested Applications |
ICC, IF, WB
Applications Validated by Active Motif: WB*: 1:500 - 1:2,500 dilution ICC/IF: 1:1,000 - 1:10,000 dilution *Note: many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt / Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western Blot. |

Background Information
Microtubules of the eukaryotic cytoskeleton perform essential and diverse functions and are composed of a heterodimer of a-tubulin and b-tubulin. Alpha Tubulin expression is reduced in cells deficient in MeCP2, leading to conditions such as Rett syndrome and autistic-spectrum disorders.
