HeLa cells were treated with 2 uM staurosporine for different time periods and then probed using Caspase-3 mAb. Background Information

Caspase-3 (CASP3 or apoptosis-related cysteine peptidase 3) is involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. Caspase-3 cleaves and activates Caspase-6, Caspase-7 and Caspase-9, and the protein itself is processed by Caspase-8, Caspase-9 and Caspase-10. Caspase-3 is the predominate caspase involved in the cleavage of amyloid-beta 4A, which is associated with Alzheimer's disease.
