  HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 11660-1-AP (MALT1 antibody) at dilution of 1:600 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

  1X10^6 HeLa cells were stained with 0.2ug MALT1 antibody (11660-1-AP, red) and control antibody (blue). Fixed with 90% MeOH blocked with 3% BSA (30 min). Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) with dilution 1:1500.

Background Information

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma translocation protein 1 belongs to caspase-like protein superfamily.MALT1 plays a potential role in the regulation of apoptosis and induces NFKB activation and required for the normal development of B cells and for the activation of the IKK complex.It acts as a caspase and mediates additional functions related to T cell activation, cleaving both the ubiquitin editing enzyme,TNFAIP3,and the C terminus of BCL10 .It has two isoforms.Researches showed that inhibition of MALT1 blocks A20 and BCL10 cleavage, reduces NFKB activity, and decreases the expression of NFKB targets BCLXL.
