Background Information

TEX15 also named as Cancer/testis antigen 42 is a 2789 amino acid protein, which is expressed exclusively in testicular and cancerous tissues and may be involved in the development and metastasis of several different types of tumors. TEX15 exists as a 1279 amino acid protein in the mouse and rat testis. The molecular weight of mouse/rat TEX15 is 150 kDa (PMID: 26959739).
